Jay-Z Swings Secret Track "Loso's Way," Fabolous Comes Clean

Fabolous' forthcoming album will contain a collaboration with Jay-Z called "When The Money Goes."

"Actually, it got leaked and it was a version with Jay only rapping on it and it's called, 'When The Money Goes,' Fabolous said. "Jay had recorded something to it, I guess what you hear on the leak, for American Gangster and I don't think it made the final cut so he had reached out to me, knowing that I was working on this project and knowing the theme of what I was trying to put together and said, 'Yo, I got a record that might fit in to play.' So, when he brought the record to the table it did. I re-vocaled it. Jay is just on the hook as far as that was his idea for the hook." (SOHH)

Jay-Z's version of "When The Money Goes" leaked to the internet earlier this year.

"A new song by the rapper surfaced online Tuesday afternoon (January 27) called "When the Money Goes." The breezy track features Hov posing a number of questions to his mate about her commitment to him, should he face a turn for the worse. As of press time, there's no word whether "When the Money Goes" will appear on The Blueprint 3 or if it's slated for another project. (MTV)"

Fab's album, Loso's Way, is loosely based on the Al Pacino film, Carlito's Way.

"I think we had some similarities," Fab told SOHH. "Carlito was a street dude trying to make the transition from the streets to something better. That's where I felt like I was at in my point in my life of becoming a hip-hop artist and making that transition from the streets to a hip-hip artist."
