Juelz Santana Talks Lil Wayne Collabo & Dipset Future

Skull Gang leader Juelz Santana recently offered his thoughts on a Dipset reunion detailing his willingness to make it happen in the future.

Aside from the Dipset reunion, Juelz also discussed his upcoming project with Lil Wayne.

"I'm with whatever man," he said regarding a reunion with Dipset leader Cam'ron. "I'm good. I can do me now so it ain't like if we was to do an album together, I can handle my business the way I wanna handle my business so I'm cool with anything. Ya dig? He ain't physically harm me, he ain't do nothing to me in that sense. Now I'm out, I'm free, I ain't got time to dwell on that bullsh*t...The album [with Wayne] is done. We got over like 45 records done, we was just waiting, like I said, even with the situation that I was in, that was kinda like affecting that from going down too. There's gonna be a lot of things happening and that's definitely one of 'em." (SmackTube)
Despite Juelz' claims that Cam tied him up with contractual restrictions, Killa recently spoke with SOHH to respond to those allegations.

"As far as I'm concerned I never did Juelz wrong," Cam said. "I made sure he seen any contract we signed. He didn't do a deal 'til he was over 18. I can't do you wrong if you're an adult. I don't know exactly what he's talking about. I wish he'd be more specific but, No in my opinion I didn't do him wrong. I didn't jerk him around." (SOHH)
Juelz previously said the deal he inked with Cam was unfair.

"It was a bad deal," Santana said in an interview. "He owned so much of my sh*t and everything, he just, practically, owned more than what I owned, and it got to a point where I just wanted to get the situation right. I didn't want nothing back. Although Santana seems willing for a Dipset reunion, Cam shot down the possibility in an interview late last week.

Ciara Explains Importance Of Women’s History Month, Talks Super C Alter-Ego

From BallerStatus.com -- With just a few days left of Women's History Month, singer Ciara wants to make sure she honors the women who paved the way before her.

In a blog entry posted at GlobalGrind.com, Ciara explained by the month of March is so important to her.

"I wanted to remind everyone that it's still Women's History Month," she wrote. "And even though we stay strong 12 months a year, I'm particularly proud to honor this month with all the amazing women that have paved a path for us from the Underground Railroad’s Harriet Tubman to fashion icons like Iman to even our amazing First Lady Michelle Obama."

Ciara says there are a few traits that the female gender carry with them and help keep them connected across the world. Those being: "hard work, perseverance and a natural flair that only women can pull off in high heels".

"I'm really passionate about this because I'm sure all of us, at some point, have been knocked down," the singer explained. "At work, at home, emotionally, mentally, and we thought we wouldn't be able to make it out, but somehow we do it."

Before ending her blog entry, she goes on to explain how she deals with the everyday pressures of being a celebrity. Somehow, when she throws on her super hero cape, those problems fade away. This "inner superhero" as she calls it, exists in every female.

"With all the gossip and jabs media throw at celebrities, sometimes I don't know how I deal with it, but that's when my inner superhero, 'Super C', comes to the rescue," says Ciara. "I'll tell you more about her another time, but she keeps me going and pushes me to overcome any obstacle or boundary that's in front of me and honestly, we all have that inside of us."

Sony's Planning A 'BIG PS3 Announcement' For Tuesday!

On Tuesday, March 31st, mark your calenders as Sony evidently has something BIG to say! SmartHouse reports that the company is set to make a global announcement regarding the PlayStation 3!

Obviously, no one is saying a thing, but the rumors have been swirling about the proposed price drop, with Sony even recently being publicly pressured by third-party publishers to make the cuts soon.

Considering that March 31st also happens to mark the end of Sony's current fiscal year, a PS3 price drop announcement wouldn't be unreasonable to expect.

Another possibility could be a price drop for the PS2 to $99 or even a drop for the PSP. But as is often the case, we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see what Sony has in store.

Rihanna reportedly wants Chris Brown, who has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats following his alleged assault on the Barbadian singer in February, to apologize to her on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". She believes the 19-year-old hunk should appear on Oprah Winfrey's famous show to publicly denounce his behavior, Look magazine reports.

"Oprah suggested Rihanna tell Chris that despite their recent commitment ceremony, she's been having second thoughts about them being back together," the Look insider reveals. "And agreeing to go on Oprah's show and tell the world how sorry he is will help make up her mind."

Jim Jones Extends The Olive Branch To Cam’ron

In a surprising interview with Funkmaster Flex last night (Macrh 23) on Hot 97, Jim Jones told fans that he is ready to hit the studio with former BFF Cam’ron.

In a moment of humility the Dipset Capo revealed to Flex that he wants to sit down with Cam, who he refers to as Flea, and work out a Diplomats reunion. “I’ve been selfish about a lot of things, due to my own selfish ways, me feeling that it was the right thing to do,” he said, noticeably selecting his words. “But at that same time it’s not about me all the time, and there is a lot of other people that’s involved. And for the most part me and Flea came up together for a long time, so I’m just extending my hand to the contribution of getting this Diplomats business done. So if Cam is listening maybe we can you know sit down and get this business together and give the people what they want.”[Listen Here]

When Flex asked if Jones has made any moves to set up the reunion, the Capo admitted he hasn’t been one hundred percent truthful in the past about the duo’s past dealings . “We spoke,” he told FMF. “I was doing a lot of bsing to so hopefully I’ma do what I told him in the conversation.”

As previously reported Cam said he recently re-connected with Jones over the phone. Although days later Jones denied ever getting on the horn.

Both Harlem rappers have albums coming out in the near future. The Capo’s major label debut Pray IV Reign hits shelves today while Crime Pays, Cam’s first studio record since ‘06, comes out on May 19th.

Update: T-Pain Slapped With $5 Million Lawsuit For Calling Off Guyana Concert

T-Pain got slapped with a lawsuit Monday (March 23) in Broward Circuit Court -- for canceling a major concert in Guyana last month because of alleged kidnap and death threats.

The plaintiff, Hits and Jams Entertainment, says T-Pain became a major pain by making grandiose demands -- from a private jet and FBI protection to a phone chat with Guyana's president.

T-Pain, paid $75,000 in advance, failed to appear, according to the complaint filed by Miami attorney Ron Lowy.

Hits and Jams, the Georgetown-based concert producer and promoter, along with three of its officers, also sued T-Pain's Nappy Boy Touring and Chase Entertainment of Fort Lauderdale.

T-Pain was to headline the Republic Day event on Feb. 23. Hits and Jams provided more than a dozen airline tickets for T-Pain and his entourage, including seven in first class.

The contract also called for: a ''four-star hotel or better'' with Cartoon Network and 24-hour room service; a stadium dressing room with a private bathroom; and bottles of Grey Goose, Gran Patrón Platinum and Hennessy, and Gatorade and herbal tea.

But on Feb. 20, Chase Entertainment's David Abram told the promoters he'd been 'advised by a credible source associated wi th T-Pain's camp that T-Pain should not `come' to Guyana because he would be killed or kidnapped because Hits and Jams had not paid their 'street guys.' ''

Negotiations failed to allay T-Pain's security fears, although the threats were never substantiated. Two days before showtime, Abram ''offered to return the $75,000 advance payment and to assist with the damage control,'' the suit says. But the promoter said that would not offset damages or ``remedy the disappointment to the Guyanese fans.''

Lowy lodged a $5 million breach-of-contract claim against T-Pain and Nappy Boy. He also filed libel and defamation counts against all the defendants, including Abram.

Responds Abram: ''It was a legitimate security threat.'' Chase, T-Pain's management company, did not want to put the artist in ''harm's way,'' Abram adds.

''We feel horrible about not being able to play the concert,'' he said. ``We are going to do what needs to be done to make this right with the promoters They're a good company. We're a good company.''

Fabolous Sets Al Pacino Classic To Music With Loso's Way

Fab says LP 'touches on so many issues' from the 1993 movie 'Carlito's Way' but is still relatable.

Fabolous says Loso's Way is still on the way. The Brooklyn native was inspired to record the album after viewing the 1993 Al Pacino drama "Carlito's Way." He says we all have more in common with Charlie Brigante than we know.

"The album is so crazy," he told us on the set of the The-Dream's "Rockin That Thang" remix video. "[My album] touches on so many issues from the movie, but it still [expresses] principles that people go through every day and could relate to. That's why I chose the movie. I was watching the movie and was like, 'The stuff going on in this movie, everybody could relate to it.' Just like how dude came out of jail and was like, 'I'm not going back to jail.' Everybody feels that way on the come-out. It's the journey to do something better. When I was coming out of the 'hood, I felt I wanted to do something better, and [I put] the journey to do something better ... in this album. A lot of things have happened [since my career started]. I've gotten shot, I've got arrested, I've had a baby. All of these things have happened, so I wanted to put that in music form."

In the film, Carlito was expecting a baby before he took that fateful train ride to the great beyond. Fab talks about anticipating becoming a father in a song called "Stay," which features Marsha Ambrosia. And if you're wondering, 'Loso also brings to life the action-packed scene in which Carlito offs a bar full of thugs after yelling, "OK, I reloaded!"

"That's gonna be 'Just Comin' In,' " Fab said. "At the beginning of my joint. In my intro, I'm going in certain places and talking about things, talking about certain things that I don't think people have really heard me talk about or heard how I really feel.

"Right after that, I'm reloaded," he added. "I got a song on the album called 'Pachanga.' We say 'puh-chang-uh' on the song. That was Carlito's man, but we know at the end of the movie that was the dude who got Carlito set up to get shot. You see how friends change in due time. I got a crazy joint on the album that explains how certain things or certain friends change in your lifetime."

Fabolous said the LP should be out sometime between spring and summer.

I’m not sure if this is a fabricated story but I will tell you a true story…

Last year a friend of mine contacted me and told me they had a friend that wanted to sell me some photos. I said “cool, tell him to send me a sample so I can see what he has”. The guy hits me up and sends me a tagged photo of the singer Cassie topless. I’m like “whoa, I didn’t know he meant these types of photos. Before I could respond, he sent over two more photos. One with the subject “Rihanna’s p*ssy” and it was a photo of a girl the complexion of Rihanna, with her butt to the camera that looked like it could have been taken by someone that she was about to sit on. The second was a photo of a girl that looked EXACTLY like Rihanna with just her underwear, breast out with the signature tattoo she has going down the side of her hip visible. At first I thought the tattoo was on the wrong side of her body, but realized she was standing in the mirror and I was looking at her reflection. I emailed the guy back and said

“I’m sorry but I can’t do anything with these photos because I refuse to attach my name to something like that. I’m sure there are other sites that would jump at the opportunity of buying these from you but I can’t…”
He then asked if I could be the middle man between him and “said” sites and I never responded.

So whether Rihanna and Chris has a sex tape is questionable but I do know some photos exist…..

New Jersey Nets CEO Brett Yormark said the team is committed to moving to Brookyln in time for the 2011-12 season, according to Bloomberg News.

"We'll be there for the '11-'12 season. We've pre-sold 20 percent of our suites." Yormark said in a report published on Friday. "We've got eight of our 14 founding partnerships already completely signed. Next week, we'll announce our ninth."

The Brooklyn arena is not built and owner Bruce Ratner is awaiting an eminent-domain lawsuit before starting on the Barclays Center. Groundbreaking could come in late spring or early summer, according to the report.

Update: Kanye West Slapped With Misdemeanor Charges For Papparazi Tussle, Faces 2 Years Behind Bars

Los Angeles county prosecutors have charged Kanye West with three criminal misdemeanors for breaking a paparazzo's camera during an altercation at the Los Angeles Airport last year.

West and his manager Don Crowley confronted a paparazzo who was taking pictures of the rapper at LAX airport on September 11th 2008 and they swiped his camera and broke it.

According to The Los Angeles Times, West has been charged with one count of vandalism, one count of grand theft and one count of battery. He faces up to two years and six months behind bars if convicted on all counts.

Crowley was charged with two counts of vandalism, two counts of grand theft and two counts of battery. He faces five years in jail if convicted.

N.W.A. Biopic Details Emerge, Eazy-E Takes Center Stage

Script details from the upcoming N.W.A. (N*ggaz With Attitude) biopic have reportedly emerged, citing the controversy and untimely passing of Eazy-E as a primary focus.

Along with Eazy, the film will analyze N.W.A.'s rise and fall.

The bond Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Yella and Ren formed surviving on the streets as teens is the foundation of the movie as we then see them go through trial after trial once they hit the big time. From manager Jerry Heller, to the fighting between Cube and Eazy-E, to the media backlash that they faced. The movie will show how the group was torn apart and then how they ultimately reconciled during the news of Eazy-E's bout with AIDs. While the script does touch upon Eazy-E's death, it is the ties that bind the group from their early days in South Central that bring them back together again as they say final goodbyes to Eazy. Early reports said fans would be introduced to an in-depth look into the careers of each member.

New Line is developing Straight Outta Compton, an urban drama about N.W.A. The project will chronicle the rise and fall of the rap quartet, founded by Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and MC Ren, whose songs were so incendiary (i.e. "F--- tha Police") they were banned from radio playlists but still sold millions of albums. The film's producers, which include Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Tomica Wright (Eazy-E's widow), and Circle of Confusion entertainment, are now actively searching for a director along the lines of Curtis Hanson (8 Mile). The filmmakers will explore the history of hip-hop's first superstars: Joseph "Run" Simmons, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels and Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell, who was fatally shot in his Queens studio in 2002. N.W.A. was recently featured on VH1's "Rock Doc: N.W.A.: The World's Most Dangerous Group" last fall.

Taking an inside examination of hip-hop's most gangster rap group, "VH1 Rock Doc: N.W.A." will show the West Coast pact's origin by using interviews from former group members Ice Cube, MC Ren, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella plus Eazy-E's widow Tomica Woods-Wright, Ice-T and director John Singleton. Actress Meagan Good Begins Recording Debut Album

Although Meagan Good's main profession has been acting, it was recently revealed that she's been hitting the recording studio in-between long days on set.

The actress -- who's most recent films include "The Love Guru" and "Saw V" -- told Rap-Up.com that she's been recording for her debut album. However, she admitted the album is in the experiment stage.

"I've been recording some stuff here and there -- just experimenting, really focusing on getting up to par vocally," she said.

To get to that level, Good has been working on her voice, with a very high-profile producer -- The Dream. She says she's been working with the singer/songwriter for about two months.

As far as the kind of music the 27-year-old actress is going for: pop, not you're typical R&B sound most black singers would go after.

"I'm going for a more pop sound, actually. I did some stuff with some lesser-known producers," Good reveals.

According to Rap-Up, Good is still unsigned. But, she has been going into meetings with several labels, weighing her options. A title and release date was unknown at press time.
