Refs have been done for the second phase of recording, as everything is starting to line up how we planned it during the summer. I'm happy to say that the progress of this project has been pretty refreshing to me, each time I go back and work on things new ideas come to mind; making the process even better.

I've donned him as my engineer since January 2011, and haven't let anyone else outside of our inner circle handle my session data without his consent. I was doing what I had to do musically before I got to know him, but now that I record with him on a day to day basis, I learn more. It's better when you have someone at the boards who knows what things should sound like and want them to come out in the best form they can, rather than someone who's just tracking for the hour to hour pay.

Evan and I met through Mariel, a mutual friend. He's a producer and engineer who's helping me shape my sound. Although I had some of his work since the summer of 2010, we didn't officially meet until around Februray of 2011. I was working on one of his tracks prior to that, which ended up being "I Wonder"; one of my best tracks to date. Recently, we've been putting together stuff for my new project; and If you've been paying attention, you'd know what level we're trying to take my music to. His sound is something that hasn't been heard in the "Hip Hop' form of music, so to speak.

I am truly enjoying my life as it is right now.

been in San Francisco w/ Aliek since Friday, and hell, i'm thinking about getting a place out here. the city is amazing; the shops, weather (not too hot, not too cold), smells, people, a girl named Francheska.. lol . but all and all, i like San Fran.

we've been at the Hilton Downtown since Saturday, and I can honestly say that the best song ARE done in hotel rooms. I find myself already working on a new project, even with Almost There working it's rounds. the video for People Like Me will still be coming out by the end of the summer, just working the kinks of it.

SF reminds me of New York in a way, but out here its way more layed back. similar street structures, but people aren't so crazy out here... or maybe because I just haven't seen the city in it's entirety it seems so cool. ha, whatever the case; I've figured out what the people mean by "Californiacation of Life", and I'm damn sure living it right now
